回复 : 本片根据美国作家洛伊丝·劳里（Lois Lowry）的作品改编而成。主人公是一个叫乔纳思的少年，他生活在一个看似非常完美的社区里，没有战争、没有灾难、没有痛苦。在这里，人们的生活都被安排得井井有条，他们不用决定工作，不用决定配偶，一切都已经被社区领导者决定好了。然而，这个世界里没有记忆、感情、颜色以及音乐，人们也没有选择的权力。年满十二岁的时候，少年乔纳思（布兰顿·思怀兹 饰）被选中担任下一任“记忆传授人”，跟从上一任“传授人”（杰夫·布里吉斯饰演）接受训练，将来他将一个人去承担整个社会该有的记忆。他必须独自承受痛苦、恐惧和孤单，同时也知道了什么是温暖、幸福和爱，就此得到了他以前所不曾有过的经验。而当他知道的越多，越发现这个世界的虚假，于是有了想要离开的念头……
