《我的城》是一部记录城市凡人生活碎片，国产古代镜头下充满“凡人语录”的系列纪录片，国产古代也是中国少有的现实题材城市纪录片。首批拍摄了五座城市：北京、上海、成都、深圳和银川，描绘的是城市人特殊的“乡土情”。本片那些被纪录者，无论是北京篇里爱骑自行车的小伙，还是上海篇里卖啤酒的阿姨，或是成都篇里“二次元”装扮的小姐妹，或是深圳篇里大芬村（城中村）里的小画师，或是银川篇里卖羊杂的小老板，他们都是城市社会里人微言轻的小角色，所以他们脑海里没有城市定位、没有品牌宣传，有的只有活生生的现实：怎么活出自己的个性，活出味道来。一些生活碎片、闲谈碎语、生活片断，不经意间构成了城市的性格和精神、流露出对城市的理解与质疑。

James is trying to impress the young woman by playing master of the house - his parents are away for the weekend - while Hudson feels it is his role to ensure the rules of the house are followed when the master is away.
