上元节，日韩繁华的长安城内妖气弥漫，日韩文武百官进宫赴宴，国师凌玄上师与爱徒月半娇也在其中。月半娇隐约见到贵妃变成树妖，不顾师父阻拦将其打倒在地。皇帝大怒，下旨将月半娇押入大牢，月半娇狱中遇到同被关押的青年才子杜子腾，两人逃离监狱后，又结识了青莲剑仙太白先生、青楼杀手十二娘，组成了捉妖小队一同完成除妖救国的大计，但很快他们便发现，长安城危机的背后似乎有人作祟……
