生活在巴雷利的年轻姑娘比蒂因为几次失败的相亲而沮丧不已，迷离准备离家出走的她偶然看到一本书《巴雷利的巴菲》，迷离书里的女主描述简直和自己一模一样，不仅性格特点一样，连生活爱好习惯也一样，完全就是照着她写的。比蒂一心想找到写这本书的作者，与这本书作者的邂逅开启了一段寻找爱情的奇妙旅程。当然，虽说寻爱的过程妙趣横生，爱情的得来也不是一帆风顺。有欢笑也有泪水，有轻松也有沉重，不过结局是欢乐一家亲的。

It has been called a landmark of lesbian representation. Olivia arrives at a finishing school and falls in love with headmistress Mlle. Julie. Mlle. Julie feels the same, but tries to suppress her desire. For her part as Mlle. Julie, Edwige Feuillère was nominated for a BAFTA award for Best Foreign Actress in 1952.French director Audry made 18 feature films from 1944 to 1972. Her earliest films are prime examples of the French 'tradition of quality.' She favored plots adapted from French literature. Audry is most distinguished from her peers in that her films were primarily focused upon female leads, whereas traditional French cinema is centered around the lives of men. Her most notorious film was 1951's Olivia, which dealt with lesbian relationships.
