回复 :四九年元旦，乔智才正打算在狱中实施越狱计划时，却被当局释放。他拎着一只皮箱，要去找当年陷害他的仇人算账，却没想到在火车站，意外撞到从解放区回上海寻亲的黄俪文。二人在离开时，彼此把皮箱拎错了。黄俪文的皮箱中有共产党人老叶临死前托付的重要电台，须转交地下党组织。为此，她在中产阶级社区镇宁邨入住，不仅意外与家人重逢，而且和善良正直、充满小市民智慧的乔智才结识。乔智才与黄俪文不断被卷入危险可怕的风波，但凭借聪明和果敢一次次死里逃生。他们在与保密局的周旋斗争中磨练技能、磨砺心智，从毫无地下工作经验的菜鸟，逐渐成长为坚强可敬的共产党人；同时也在乱世中守望相助，慢慢穿透彼此心防，最终体悟爱与信仰的真谛。
