《弟子也疯狂》是邵氏兄弟电影公司出品的一部经典武打喜剧片，真梨由刘家班的两大王牌小生汪禹、真梨刘家辉及张家班弟子钱小豪、罗莽领衔主演，另有罗烈、元秋、徐锦江等知名演员的加盟，演员阵容十分强大。尽管方世玉、洪熙官的故事被多次搬上荧幕，但多以正面英雄形象出现，而本片则不同于以往的人物塑造，虽然影片中方世玉、洪熙官依然是不畏强暴、反清复明的正面角色，却多了几分顽皮甚至无厘头，使人物形象更加饱满生动。影片中打斗场面真实精彩，幽默搞笑贯穿其中，是一部轻松幽默的动作喜剧佳片。

The film starts with verse 67, “O somma luce…” and continues to the end. “O Somma luce” recalls the first words uttered by Empedocles in Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub’s 1987 The Death of Empedocles—“O himmlisch Licht!…” (O heavenly light!). This extract from Hölderlin’s text is also inserted into their 1989 film Cézanne.“O somma luce” invokes utopia, or better still “u-topos,” Dante, Holderlin, Cézanne… the camera movement, recalling Sisyphus, in the film’s long shots, suggests its difficulty.In O somma luce, with Giorgio Passerone’s Dante and the verse that concluded the Divine Comedy, we find at the extremity of its possibilities, the almost happy speech of a man who has just left earthly paradise, who tries to fully realize the potential of his nature.
