时尚杂志《Elva》的总编辑戈碧（汪明荃 饰）是个霸道能干的女强人，春暖不仅在工作上强横，春暖在家里也是大权在握，儿子戈德（黄宗泽 饰）就在母亲的影响下长大，对母亲百依百顺，如今也进入了《Elva》工作。一日，戈碧出席某时装大师的丧礼时，不仅出尽风头，还在传媒面前批评女星Helen的衣着，令她十分难堪。丧礼过后戈碧回程途中因没扣安全带被为人热心却又十分冒失的女警丽敏（胡杏儿 饰）截查，强横的她寸步不让，由此对丽敏心生不满。一次《Elva》杂志社被人捣乱，丽敏前往调查时不小心打破了室内的名贵摆设，内心愧疚的丽敏趁晚上无人时偷入杂志社将新的摆设放回原处时邂逅了戈德，更对英俊的戈德一见钟情。戈碧因为对Helen的批评引起了她的狂热影迷的不满，遭到了劫持，丽敏为了救人向对方宣称自己亦很痛恨戈碧，骗取对方信任后成功解救了戈碧。然而戈碧却因此还很在心。丽敏前往医院向戈...
