化学老师威尔•邓肯是个少有的诚实厚道的好人，亚洲他做人诚信，亚洲从不说谎，拾金不昧，乐于助aaa。为了娶法官本•法斯沃斯的女儿安妮为妻，他答应法官存够一万美元，也就是一百万个美分。为此他拼命节省开支，并开了一家小古董店。一天，他在从情敌乔治手中以五美元买来的地球仪中，发现了十五万美金。正想寻找失主，不料却被当成小偷被捕入狱。而当失主出现时，发现地球仪中早已空无一物。威尔再次被送上法庭，他将如何面对庭审？而地球仪中的巨款又在何处呢？
