八卦杂志记者唐亮星（森美饰）因交通意外痛失左耳，美濑接受移植手术后获得老鼠超能力。亮星为功利造假新闻，美濑与满腔正义的女警宋凯甄（黄翠如饰）发生冲突而双双失业。凯甄得舅父明君毅（张国强饰）鼓励，转当私家侦探。亮星用超能力偷窥女神明卓淇（谭凯琪饰），被凯甄抓住，被迫助她查案。拜金女唐美芬（江嘉敏饰）与富家子隋俊伟（周志康饰）结怨，惨被百般戏弄。俊伟落难，美芬不计前嫌施援手……亮星利用超能力破案，渐渐自大起来！此时凯甄惊悉君毅真实一面，亮星相助却陷入超能力耗尽，变成老鼠的危机！

Tom is investigating a Serbian terrorist plot. His girlfriend and her daughter are trapped in Tom's house with a lap-top which is thought to contain a bomb. Meanwhile another bomb is primed to explode and this one kills the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. Adding to the possible dangers faced by other government officials, Tom learns from his American colleague that an assassin is in town, the CIA know about him but they haven't told MI-5.
