《摩斯探长前传》第二季于2014年3-4月在英国ITV播出，和美新一季由《宝藏》、和美《夜曲》、《摇摆》、《永无乡》四个故事组成，单集片长为90分钟，Russell Lewis担任编剧，Shaun Evans继续出演主角警探摩斯，摩斯探长系列小说原作者Colin Dexter依旧为本剧担任顾问。四集导演分别由Kristoffer Nyholm、Giuseppe Capotondi、Andy Wilson、Geoffrey Sax担任。

回复 :本剧第三季率先于2017年5月5日在西班牙巴塞罗那Liceu大剧场试映，官方宣布将于5月15日首播。Julián的扮演者因个人原因将缺席第三季，Pacino将代替Julián成为三人小分队的一员，Amelia、Alonso和Pacino将面临新的任务。而在前两季中出现的Lope de Vega、Cervantes等重要历史人物，也将重新登场。
