本片由罗马导演、魔女倪匡编剧，魔女拍於1980年，由著名武打红星吴元俊领衔主演。故事讲述某寺青年僧人「疯子」(吴元俊 饰)，性格疯疯癲癲，行為全不符僧人规范。该寺主持玄明方丈却认為「疯子」与佛有缘，并因应其性格与气质，授以「癲罗汉拳」。「疯子」有了武功后，动輒出拳伤人，方丈只得将其逐出寺门……
