《方谬神探》是刘德华投资拍摄的第一部电视剧。十三娘（潘洁 饰）本是女山贼，美女金盆洗手肩负起家族重担后，美女发挥了其精明的生意头脑，把家业打理得有声有色，可是，方家独子方天谬（张卫健 饰）却是十三娘的一生遗憾，年方二十八的天谬虽事母至孝，却天生鲁钝，智商不高，但又秉承了其父的性 格，天谬有一指腹为婚的未过门妻子——总巡捕游大胜的独生女游小情（袁咏仪 饰）。机灵刁钻的小情自小看不顺眼天谬的行事为人，故经常找寻办法要推翻婚事，更和天谬不停斗法，终于，小情开出盘口，假如天谬能当上一等巡捕，便答应下嫁，为报心头恨的天谬遂毅然投考巡捕。但是，奇奇怪怪的事情随即发生了，只要天谬发烧，就会变成了另一个聪明过人的天谬......
