回复 :本作は、日本の“食”を支える第一次産業にスポットを当てた「種まく旅人」シリーズ第4弾。石川県金沢市の伝統野菜である加賀れんこんをテーマに、後継者不在に悩む農業の現実と農業で活躍する女性、通称「農業女子」の姿が描かれる。大学卒業後、大阪・堺市で銀行マンとして働く山田良一にある日、故郷の金沢でれんこん農家を営む母から「父親（竹市）が脳梗塞で倒れた」と電話が入る。父、竹市が倒れたことにより、畑を引き継ぐか売却か二択を迫られる良一。結婚を考えている恋人、凜のこともあり、なかなか決断できない。戸惑いながらも父に代わって畑へと向かう良一の姿に、不安と苛立ちを募らせる凜。一方、農林水産省かられんこん農家の視察として神野恵子が金沢へとやって来るのだった。
