一架美国客机遭恐怖份子挟持飞往贝鲁特，欧洲美国总统派遣由尼克和麦考伊所带领的特种部队展开救援行动，欧洲在排除万难救出人质后，任务并未落幕，因为机上有几名乘客被“护送"到德黑兰，尼克和麦考伊必须和时间赛跑，抢救人质并挽回美国的颜面。
