本片是09年风靡法国，男人动员550万票房人次的《小淘气尼古拉》的续集，男人在本片中尼古拉和父母、祖父一起外出度假，导演劳伦·泰拉德借由本片向着法国的默片喜剧大师雅克·塔蒂(《于洛先生的假期》)致敬。最初扮演尼古拉的马克西姆·戈达尔长大了不再适合扮演改角色。因此，该角色改由马泰奥·波塞列扮演。在第一部中祖母的扮演者伯纳蒂特·拉方特于2013年7月逝世，将由多米尼克·拉冯纳特接替其角色。而凯德·麦拉德和瓦莱丽·勒梅西埃将再次扮演父母，弗朗索瓦-格扎维埃·德梅松，弗朗索瓦·达米昂等也参演了这部影片。

However, on Christmas Eve, he is visited by the doomed ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley that tells him that three spirits would visit him that night. The first one, the spirit of Christmas Past, recalls his miserable youth when he lost his only love due to his greed; the spirit of Christmas Present shows him the poor situation of Bob's family and how joyful life may be; and the spirit of Christmas Future shows his fate. Scrooge finds that life is good and time is too short and suddenly you are not there anymore, changing his behavior toward Christmas, Bob, his nephew and people in general.
