杰尼（普姆帕特·伊安查芒 Poompat Iam-samang 饰）是一名作家，日韩擅长撰写奇幻类的小说。如今的文学界，日韩耽美小说大行其道，为了投其所好，杰尼不得已改变了自己创作的方向，写出了《腹黑工程老公》。万万没有想到的是，这本小说一经出版，就成为了市场和读者的宠儿，甚至有影视公司买下了小说的改编权，并且雇佣杰尼成为了他们的编剧。经过重重的筛选，最终，小说里酷炫狂拽的男主角将由一位名叫纳布斯（诺帕考·德查帕塔纳坤 Nine Noppakao Dechaphatthanakun 饰）的模特来扮演。实际上，纳布斯和杰尼是老相识了，两人在很小的时候是青梅竹马的玩伴，只是，杰尼并没有认出如今已经面目全非的纳布斯，与此同时，此时的纳布斯，对杰尼的感情也不只是友谊那么简单了。
