回复 :一九五零年初春，人民解放军解放了成都，国民党政权即将土崩瓦解。王保长所在的龙隐镇也沉浸在暴风雨来临之前的风雨飘摇中。国民党残部的威胁利诱，要王保长死心塌地的与人民为敌，永远变狗；人民政府也感化和感召，三嫂子的温情和规劝，希望他改邪归正，重新做人；一个尴尬的人物在一个特别的时代遭遇着一番传奇的命运。故事以王保长与三嫂子三次圆房，三次失败；三次上山为匪，又三次起义，直至生擒蒋县长，立下大功的经历为线索，艺术的再现了“旧社会把人变成狗，新社会把狗变成人”的深刻道理。喜剧性的展示了人性的丰富和多采。故事结尾的神来之笔，又给全剧抹上了一层淡淡的忧伤，浓浓的惆怅。
